GLOBAL RECOGNITION OF MITHEO EVENTS

2023 was the year Mitheo Events reaffirmed itself as a leader in the wedding industry, as established under the thoughtful direction of founder and creative director Michaela Thoeodorakakou.

In November, Michaela traveled to Venice, Italy to join the global lineup of speakers at the RSVP Venice Symposium, one of the most significant luxury conferences for the international destination wedding planning industry. Sharing the stage with four other renowned professionals in the luxury wedding space, she divulged secrets to her business success that are often kept hush-hush to assist fellow wedding professionals with expanding their business acumen. 

Mitheo Events is considered one of the best wedding planners in Europe, and was nominated for the RSVP Global Awards 2023 "Favorite Planner Europe" category. The RSVP Global Awards celebrate excellence, innovation and groundbreaking creativity in our field of luxury wedding and event planning, and we were proud to be considered among the leading planners worldwide for this nomination. 2023 STUNNING DESTINATION EVENTS IN EUROPE

Mitheo Events meticulously planned, thoughtfully designed, and successfully produced several destination weddings and luxurious private parties across Europe in 2023. 

Charlotte and Spencer’s colorful Lake Como destination wedding at the incomparable Villa Balbiano wedding venue. As experienced Lake Como wedding planners, we coordinated a week of authentic Italian festivities for the Brit, American, and their destination guests, including lodging at the legendary Villa d'Este and at Passalacqua, which was voted as number one hotel in the world 2023.

Amanda and Jack’s dream summer destination wedding on the Amalfi Coast. The iconic Villa Astor was the perfect backdrop for the US couple’s whimsical Amalfi wedding celebration loosely inspired by mermaids, which included a beach day with sunbathing, a nautical, seaside welcome party, and for the wedding ceremony, the bride wore a bespoke Monique Lhuillier gown.

Setting the stage for a sophisticated Italian romance with dreamy pastel blues and indigos, an abundance of luscious florals, modern metallic accents, and breathtaking Lake Como views from Villa Bonomi. Our stunning couple Marija and Joshua, with their avant-garde fashion sense, added a touch of glam and pizzazz to this stylish Lake Como wedding. From the bride's spectacular bow-embellished designer gown to the groom's statement look, every detail exuded elegance and charm.

Our cosmopolitan couple, Paola and Romain, residing in Switzerland and fond of vacationing in Saint Tropez, exchanged vows in the picturesque Amalfi, Italy. The iconic moment unfolded at the stunning Duomo in Amalfi, creating a spectacle amid the tourists. The newlyweds then departed in style, driving off in a vintage Mercedes at Piazza Amalfi. The bride donned a distinctive Monique Lhuiller gown, completing the look with grace and elegance. The celebration continued with a cocktail and wedding dinner reception hosted at the luxurious 5-star Santa Caterina Hotel.

Zoe and Ramzi’s colorful wedding weekend at the Athenian Riviera in Greece. We designed several "wow" moments for this couple from the US and Jordan, including their walk down the aisle on a catwalk where each of their 200 guests enjoyed a front row seat.

The VIP couple's four-day, six-event Indian wedding extravaganza for 300 guests. This epic production was a logistical triumph that highlighted the groom's Indian heritage and the bride from Cyprus, both living in the UK, in one of our favourite destination wedding locations, the magnificent Athenian Riviera of Greece. The entire affair was an indulgence in all five senses, featuring the authentic colors, scents, and traditions of both India and Greece and Indian and Greek weddings.

Our client's weeklong birthday celebration in Mallorca, Spain. Mitheo Events planned and managed multi-day celebrations for our Swedish clients and their intimate group of 40 guests, we curated a series of inspiring events that included vibrant parties, stylish dinners, and other unforgettable experiences.

2024 EUROPEAN DESTINATION WEDDINGS & EVENTS

A breathtaking Greek destination wedding at the unrivalled Amanzoe venue in Porto Heli, Greece. Nestled between lush, hillside olive groves and the captivating Aegean Sea, this Greek destination wedding venue is one of our favourites and is ideal for discerning couples looking for a contemporary and refined wedding celebration.  

The Mitheo Events team will be returning to l’hexagone for several French destination weddings throughout the year. We made frequent site visits and meetings with professionals in Paris, Cannes, Nice and Monaco, between planning a lavish, immersive wedding experience in Saint-Tropez featuring choreographed nymphs and mystical creatures at Le Beauvallon in Côte d'Azur. Located approximately only an hour south of Paris, Château Vaux-le-Vicomte is a premier wedding venue in Maincy, for the discerning couple that wishes to have an exclusive lavish Paris chateau style wedding, royal and extravagant! 

Michaela attended the Engage!23 Paris Experience conference at the iconic Intercontinental Paris Le Grand, where an exclusive fashion show from haute couture designer Elie Saab was a highlight. The Opéra Garnier in Paris stands as the quintessential backdrop, a testament to its timeless elegance and allure, revealed during our recent site visit.

Our new favourite wedding venues for exclusive weddings and private parties are at One&Only Aesthesis resort in Athens and its sister location, One&Only Kéa Island, which is set to open in April 2024. Both resorts represent a mix of old-world grandeur and modern sophistication, featuring only the finest accommodations and luxury treatments for our international clientele.
