Colorful Pre-Wedding Festivities 

The entire pre-wedding affair was bursting with vibrant color, which began with the couple's charming "That's Amore" Rehearsal Dinner at celebrity favorite restaurant, Il Gatto Nero, in the hills of Cernobbio. Close friends and family were surrounded by stunning red and pink roses as they dined on fresh homemade pasta and enjoyed picturesque open-air views of the twinkling lake and towns below. Small and unique details included calligraphy place cards adorned with deep red velvet bows, curated by the bride’s own stationery business and Mitheo Events.

The rich color scheme continued the following day as wedding guests sipped on Aperol Spritz beside the glistening lake at the Welcome Cocktail Party, surrounded by fragrant Italian lemons and sunny citrus-inspired florals - an homage to the Bride's favorite color and the yellow roses her late Grandfather grew for her in his garden.

A strolling Italian band serenaded the guests as they indulged in homemade gelato served from a retro bicycle cart. Thoughtful welcome bags designed, including welcome notes, monogrammed playing cards, and local Italian wine, were later handed out as guests retired for the evening and prepared for the much-anticipated Lake Como wedding extravaganza that would follow the next day.

Luxurious Lake Como Wedding Day 

With each event more enchanting than the last, the bride and groom awoke to the most magical moment yet – their unforgettable wedding day at Villa Balbiano. Mitheo Events planners ensured that opulence and glamor permeated throughout the wedding celebration, which began with a colorful and heartwarming ceremony on the villa’s iconic lawn by the water, led by the groom's sister in an opulent gold sparkling gown.

A rich color palette of ruby, fuchsia, soft blush and nude hues mixed with the vibrant attire of the guests complimented the bride's majestic Leah da Gloria gown and custom cape veil as she walked down the aisle to meet her groom, who wore a tailored plush emerald velvet tuxedo. "Bunny" the Bernese Mountain Dog enriched the beautiful celebration further with an enchanting matching flower garland around her neck as she eagerly carried the wedding rings down the aisle to her parents, who said "I do" against the breathtaking lake and mountain backdrop.

Every enhanced detail was considered by Lake Come wedding planners Mitheo Events, from the colorful firework display that painted the sky as Charlotte and Spencer were pronounced husband and wife, to the dramatic 130 person crystal glass champagne tower, which was topped off by the bride who expertly popped open the champagne bottle by sword, honoring a family tradition.

Inside the magnificent glass marque, the refined and timeless wedding design was embellished with dramatic metallic accents, from the charming gold elephant and bear seating card holders that reflected the couple’s favorite animals, to the luxurious gold tasseled dinner menus adorned with gold foil C&S monograms, which were exclusively designed by the bride herself.

Tall statement gold candle holders adorned with succulent fresh grapes and cascading pink flowers stood regally on the custom-made emerald green velvet tablecloths as guests delighted in the spectacular four course meal served on gold rimmed glass plates, and overlooked the custom C&S gold and emerald monogrammed dance floor.

Mitheo Events are known for creating enriching guest experiences and organized several more wow-worthy moments at this Lake Como wedding at the request of the couple to treat guests throughout the evening, the most notable being the 10-piece live band with a show of drummers and dancers that kicked off the post-dinner dance party.

The extravaganza continued as the couple’s stunning sparkler exit following the reception was illuminated further by a projection of their custom monogram onto the facade of the historic villa. A circle of tall sparkling fountains added even more delight as the couple cut into their authentic Italian millefeuille wedding cake to mark the beginning of the after party.

The dramatic segue set the mood for the vibrant dance party that continued inside the historic villa into the early hours of the morning, fueled by a DJ set, live saxophonist, and myriad of Italian midnight sweet treats.
